Ross F1:

The F1 is a large arbor series that is destined to revolutionize modern fly reel design. The F1 is a complete departure from conventional thinking and incorporates the most innovative features found in any fly reel. Inspired by Formula 1 race car brake systems, the F1 is an integration of carbon fiber and stainless steel; utilizing eight independent contact points to produce the smoothest and most dependable drag system on the market today. Two square inches of carbon fiber drag surface results in unsurpassed stopping power and heat dissipation. The spool fits on a carbon fiber stabilizer with two fully sealed stainless steel ball bearings that provide precision fit and smooth rotation. The F1 employs a Ross original clutch bearing that is fully sealed and enables retrieve conversion without removing the bearing- an industry first! The extensive use of carbon fiber in the drag system, spool stabilizer, handle and spool release produce system strength and rigidity, while at the same time reducing overall weight. Ten separate o-rings completely seal the system, making it totally impervious to the drag-changing effects of water. The F1 employs a constant-torque drag knob with a 56:1 mechanical advantage; resulting in uniform drag knob rotation and infinite drag adjustment.

NautilusFWX

The Nautilus FWX series are the lightest, most technologically advanced trout reels on the market today. FWX reels are almost a half ounce lighter than their FW predecessors due to a new spool design and internal changes. We can now proudly say that we make the lightest machined aluminum disc drag fly reel on the market. Like the NVG reels, the FWX sport our Giga arbor spool design that promotes faster line pick up and backing drying. In addition to the advanced spool designs used in these reels, we have added a new stainless steel 1-way clutch that is housed in our proprietary TORQ-X clutch drive that ensures instant drag engagement with no slack. The retrieve direction can be easily switched from left hand to right hand and the spools are easily changed with the new push on and click off release. Finally, one of the newest creations to come out of the Nautilus think-tank is an industry first LaserID line identification system: We have laser etched a white spot on the back of each FWX spool to write the line type and weight that you are using. Write with a permanent marker and wipe it off with alcohol when you change lines. Also good to use to write your name or phone number in case you loose it. No more washed out or lost line stickers. Fresh Water Light, Salt Water Safe!

Ula purist

The Waterworks ULA P-Series reels are, to our knowledge, the lightest machined reels in the world today. To achieve this weight savings, the ULA uses an arm-style body and open spool design. In order to maintain structural rigidity, each surface of the ULA is curved. This subtly complex shape is extremely demanding to machine, but results in a strong, light and beautiful high-performance reel.

The ULA P-Series represents the lightest end of the ULA range of reels. The P-Series utilizes a click-pawl brake to achieve maximum simplicity and weight savings. This reel is for the fisherman who wants to minimize weight and maximize contact with the fish. The P-Series reels are CNC machined from solid aerospace-grade aluminum and titanium in the U.S.

Litt skuffet over at det ikke er med noen danielsson! Mine snelle favoritter er ihvertfall Danielsson F3W og Nautilus FWX. har i tillegg utrolig lyst på en Danielsson Nymph wide, men det får bli neste sommer evt. oO

Da ble det NautilusFWX i 3/4, fikk med ett snøre og så smalt jeg på ei simms G3 vadebukse , da blir det og glede seg til og hente posten framover igjen , ikke bare regninger og reklame  ;D

Den beste julaften er den man skaper selv  ;D

Har selv et pakkedryss om dagen. Helt herlig!!  :D

Med det samme jeg har deg på "tråden" , den cmmålet du snakket om, er det noen fluefiskefiskesjapper som har den inne eller ?  skulle hatt sånn og klistre på stanga  :D Har faktisk lett etter sånne...

Jeg har et FWX i strl. 7/8. Der står på Nautilus hjemmesiden at det vejer 4.1 oz (ca. 116gr), men i virkeligheden vejer det næsten 4.9oz (ca. 139gr)! Du skal bare være opmærksom på at hjulet er noget tungere end angivet. 7/8 størrelsen er tænkt til min Xi3 790, så vægten er ikke så afgørende, men hvis det var til min SLT 480'er, ville jeg blive fælt skuffet hvis hjulet vejede 110gr fremfor f.eks. 90gr.

Jeg har ikke haft hjulet med på tur endnu, men det virker meget fint og stabilt.
